Ciao, mi presento. Sono Cristina Pietrasanta, e nonostante il cognome rimandi alla ridente cittadina capoluogo della Versilia in Toscana, sono una milanese DOC.
Sembro un'irlandese ? In effetti sì, ma garantisco, sono una vera milanese ! Qualcosa però mi rende cittadina del mondo, la mia passione per i viaggi e per le lingue straniere.
Hello ! I'd like to present myself. My name is Cristina P, and although my surname is a reminder of the charming chief town of Versilia in Tuscany, I am a true Milanese.
Do I seem Irish ? Possibly yes, but I can guarantee you that I am a true Milanese ! However, something makes me a citizen of the world, my passion for travelling and for foreign languages.
Chissà dunque che lavoro svolgo ? Essendomi laureata in lingue e letterature straniere moderne... sono un'insegnante di inglese. Per diversi anni, e ancora oggi con passione, mi sono dedicata anche all'insegnamento dell'Italiano a stranieri presso diverse scuole di Milano.
Milano ! La mia città, che ho visto evolversi, rinnovarsi, diventare non solo una delle quattro capitali mondiali della moda, ma polo di interesse culturale ed artistico.
What job could I possibly do, one asks ? Having graduated in foreign modern languages and literature, I am an EFL teacher. I have also been teaching Italiano to foreigners (IL2) for several years now at several different language schools in Milan.
Milano ! My hometown, which I have seen evolve, renew and not only become one of the four world capitals of fashion, but also a town of cultural and artistic interest.
Che cosa amo? Scoprire i luoghi meno conosciuti e turistici, stupirmi ancora delle bellezze antiche e di quelle moderne, vivere la frenesia di una città sempre in movimento, ma anche assaporare momenti di quiete. Ecco perché vivo in un grazioso appartamentino che gli amici inglesi chiamerebbero 'loft', mentre noi lo chiamiamo mansarda, in una delle zone più verdi di Milano, S.Siro.
What do I love ? Discovering new hidden places still untouched by tourists, being in one of these antique and modern beauties, living the buzz of such a lively city, but also appreciating moments of stillness. This is why I live in a charming apartment that the English would call "Loft", while I call it mansarda, in one of the greenest and lushest parts of Milan, San Siro.
Circondata da numerosi parchi, l' Ippodromo e il Galoppatoio, la definirei un'oasi di pace e tranquillità.
E il centro della città e le aree dello shopping ? I ristoranti e le trattorie dove gustare i piatti tipici della cucina milanese e lombarda?
Comodamente raggiungibili con la nuova metropolitana linea 5 Lilla.
Surrounded by many parks, a racecourse and a riding track, I would call it an oasis of peace and tranquillity.
What about the city center, the shopping areas, the restaurants and the Inns where one can taste and enjoy the typical milanese and Lombardy cuisine ? They are easily reachable with the new underground Lilac 5 line.
