COURSES STRUCTURE

All the lessons are tailor-made to address your language needs and level of understanding and are focused on a communicative approach. The lessons consist of a combination of General & Business English. Most students learning English today need the language to:

  • Negotiate contracts

  • Conduct effective telephone calls either via telephone or video conferences

  • Write effective emails

  • Feel comfortable with small talk when networking

  • Give presentations in English

Apart from these specific skills for work, most students also want to expand their vocabulary, practise their listening and speaking skills in different situations, and, perhaps, review some grammar items. The lessons vary between the different skills to keep them fast-paced and stimulating. I use a wide variety of materials ranging from the written format such as traditional texts (course books), authentic texts (newspapers, articles, student’s own material) to interactive media such as videos, audio and online resources.

IN LONDON - LANGUAGE AND THE CITY

Language And The City in London is an intensive week’s language course in the most dynamic and multicultural city in the world.

The course is based on an innovative way of teaching and learning. You learn the language by experiencing the London that Londoners live on the streets, in bars, in museums, art galleries, the parks, the markets and much more with me, your Professional English Language Trainer. Each day is split in two with lessons in the morning and cultural excursions in the afternoon.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

The cultural element of the week allows you to explore the hidden treasures of London in a relaxed manner whilst practising the language learned in class.

All the guided cultural activities are organized along tailor-made themes such as:

  • London's Parks - Regent's, Richmond, Hampstead Heath

  • The Markets of London - Camden, Spitalfield's, Leadenhall, Greenwich, Columbia Road

  • The Literary Scene – Bloomsbury, Hampstead, the London Library

  • The Harry Potter Experience

  • The Visual Arts -Tate, Dulwich Picture Gallery, The Wallace Collection
